Today was one special day. I had the opportunity to go through the temple and receive my endowments! I went through the Timpanogos temple, which is beautiful by the way! I had been asked more than once through the temple where my fiance was, or what temple I would be getting married at, and waited for a surprised look from some when I told them I would be going on a mission... ha
It wasn't at all what I had expected, but I was very prepared of this and felt love and peace. It is an experience I will never forget. I feel so honored of all the blessings and covenants I received and made today. I had many of my family members there, as well as one of my really good friends which made it even more special. At the end my grandmother came up to me tears in her eyes and told me what a special and beautiful women I had become. "Gosh Grandma! I was doing just fine until you said that!" I replied, ha. Tears began to feel my eyes and all my family was together. How blessed I am to have this gospel and have a place like the temple to go to where I can feel peace and comfort. I am excited I have the opportunity now to go to many other temples the next 12 weeks until I leave for my mission!

Following in her Aunts footsteps
So one of my older sisters lives in Virginia and was able to Skype with
us to watch me open my mission call! Hooray for technology these days!
On Monday night they had a family home evening about missionary work. My sister helped her kids make little name tags and pulled out a map to show
where Aunt Kari is going. The next morning, this is what my sister found....
Em (My niece) had saved her name tag, put on a skirt, and said, "Look
mom, I'm a missionary just like Aunt Kari." My sister shared this with me
in an email, and I thought it was so adorable I had to share!!
